Anna Radziejewska

mezzosoprano

is graduated of the Frederic Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw where she studied with Professor Jerzy Artysz, gaining a diploma with distinction. She is a prizewinner of many national and international competitions.
She has developed a fine international career appearing as soloist in Europe and Japan in such venues as Bayerische Staatsoper, Teatro alla Scala,Theater an der Wien, Luzernertheater, Opera Koeln, WDR Concert Hall Koeln, Grand Theatre de Geneve, Opera du Rhin Freiburg Theater, Vlaamse Opera, Het Concergebouw, Opera National de Paris, Nationaltheater Mannheim,Cite de la Musique Paris, Teatro Zarzulea, Madrit, Grand Theatre Aix-en –Provence),Tokyo Bunka Kaikan and at meny prestigious festivals(Salzburg Festspiele. Schwetzingen Festival, Maerzfestival Berlin, Wiener Festwochen, Holland Festival, Warsaw Autumn, Biennale Venezia).
She has worked closely with leading conductors including Harry Bicket, Ivor Bolton, Attilio Cremonesi, Andreas Spering ,Sebastien Rouland ,Johannes Debus, Tito Ceccherini, Beat Furrer ,Jean Christoph Spinosi, Daniel Grossmann, Friedemann Layer, Evan Christ, Antoni Wit, Wojciech Michniewski, Jacek Kasprzyk, Marek Moś Michel Tabachnik, Marco Angius, Jean Tubery, Emilio Pomarico, Marco Angius, Paolo Carignani, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Maximiano Valdes.
She has taken part in opera productions directed by Robert Carsen, Achim Freyer, Trisha Brown, Rebeca Horn,Vincent Boussard, Joachim Schloemer, Ludger Engels, Ryszard Peryt, Mariusz Treliński, Marek Weiss, Reinhild Hoffmann, Maciej Prus, Andrea Schwalbach, Jitka Stokalska, Natalia Kozłowska,Pia Partum.
Her most important roles have included those in operas by Handel ( Rinaldo, Agrippina, Giulio Cesare, Ruggiero),Vivaldi ( Farnace), Mozart ( Giuditta, Dorabella, Cecilio), Rossini ( Tancredi, Arsace, Rosina, Angelina, Isabela, Pippo), Tchaikowsky(Olga), Mascagni ( Beppe) and Sciarrino ( Izumi, Lady Macbeth, Donna, La Malaspina)
She also has a rich concert repertoire which includes many recitals (with Katarzyna Jankowska , Mariusz Rutkowski ,Maurizio Grandinetti , Lilianna Stawarz ), oratorios and vocal instrumental works and concerts with Baroque music ensembles(Collegium Musicum Koeln, Concerto Vocale, Il Tempo, MACV, Sinfonietta Żilina, La Fenice, Royal Baroque Ensemble ) and those specializing in contemporary music ( Klangforum Wien, Algoritmo, London Sinfonietta, Icarus, Spółdzielnia Muzyczna)
She has established a reputation as one of the finest performers of works by Salvatore Sciarrino including parts dedicated especially for her (.,Izumi in “Da gelo a gelo”, La Donna in “Superfumina”, “Cantiere del poema”, " Immagina il deserto"). She was dedicated the parts in opera Transcryptum by Wojciech Blecharz and Orfee ( Apollo) by Dariusz Przybylski.
Her honours include the Andrzej Hiolski Award for the best operatic debut ( 2001), Bronze Gloria Artis Medal of merit for culture - 2010 and Silver Cross of Merit 2012.
Anna Radziejewska has pursued a teaching career since 1999, currently leading a solo voice class at the Voice and Drama Departament of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. She is also regularly invited to give masterclasses.
Since 2007 she has been collaborating with DUX Recording Producers, for which she relased songs by Ignacy Jan Paderewski (nominated for Fryderyk Award2008), Karol Szymanowski( nominated for Fryderyk Prize 2009, awards: Orfee D’Or 2009, Selectionée par ARTE), Witold Lutosławski ( nominated for Frydery Award 2014), Oskar Kolberg ( 2015), I. J. Paderewski ( nominated for Fryderyk Award 2016)
