Kacper Szelążek is one of the leading countertenor of his generation.
Kacper Szelążek graduated in 2016 at the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the singing class of prof. Artur Stefanowicz.
He debuted in 2013 in the part of Nerone in the Coronation of Poppea by Monterverdi, which he performed with great success at the Collegium Nobilium in Warsaw and in 2015 at the Salle Franc Martin Auditorium in Geneva.
In 2013, as the best young musician of the year, he received a proposal from the Polish Radio to record Szymanowski's songs and to represent Poland at the EBU Young Talents Competition in Bratislava (International Forum of Young Performers New Talent).
In 2016 he received the Carlo Maria Giulini Award at the International Vocal Competition Moniuszko in Warsaw.
From that moment he performed among others at the Théâtre des Champs Élysées, Theatre des Versailles, Amsterdam Opera, Opera Dijon, Teatro Ristori in Verona, Polish Royal Opera, National Opera House in Warsaw, Stanislawowski Royal Theatre in Warsaw, Boston Early Music Festival, Enescu Festival in Bucharest, Dramma per Musica Festival in Warsaw, Victoria Hall in Geneva, National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the Polish Radio Concert Hall in Warsaw, NOSPR in Katowice and many others.
His repertoire includes such roles as Nerone in the Coronation of Poppea by Monteverdi, Nerone/Narciso in Agrippina, Bertarido in Rodelinda, Ariodante in Ariodante by Händel, Gilade in Farnace by Vivaldi, Eliogabaldo in Eliogabaldo by Cavalli, Cesare/Tolomeo/Sesto in Giulio Cesare by Händel, Eunuco in La finta Pazza by Sacrati, Medoro in Orlando generoso by Steffani.
Kacper Szelążek performed with such orchestras like Les Talens Lyriques, Capella Mediteranea, Royal Baroque Ensemble, MACV, Capela Regia Polona under button of Rousset, Allarcón, Esswood, Stawarz, O’Dette, Stubbs, Passerini, Garstka, Pluhar and many others.
His futures plans including performances in Theatre des Versailles, Opera Dijon, Polish National Opera, Polish Royal Opera, Łódź Philarmonic, Drotningholm Festival, Dramma per Musica Festival and others.
